About FieldAppCheck

Who it's for

FieldAppCheck is for owner-operators and small crews in home services who need to pick tools without spending a week in demos and spreadsheets.

If you're juggling calls, scheduling, and invoices between jobs, you don't need "top 10" lists. You need a fast answer for your situation.

What we do (and what we don't)

We help you decide what to use based on the job you're trying to get done—not a generic ranking.

  • We don't publish "best overall" charts.
  • We don't hand out scores.
  • We do point you to tools that fit the way you work right now (and we'll say when you can skip a tool entirely).

Why the diagnostics exist

Most software pages give you feature grids. Real life is messier.

  • "Do I actually need this, or can I fix the problem with a process change?"
  • "If I buy something, what's the smallest tool that solves it?"
  • "What should I do next—today?"

Our diagnostics ask a few questions about your workload, team, and pain points, then route you to a short list that makes sense for that setup. No weighted scores, no generic rankings—just a clear recommendation and the reason behind it.

How recommendations are made

We use routing, not scoring. Think "if this is your situation → these tools tend to fit."

We group vendors by what they're built for and where they break down:

  • Field Service Management (FSM): team size, job volume, scheduling complexity, dispatch needs, integrations
  • Calls & SMS: tracking ad calls vs. business phone system vs. shared inbox vs. follow-up/reviews
  • Payments & invoicing: accounting tie-ins, in-person payments, card-on-file, simple invoicing vs. full workflow

We look at vendor capabilities, pricing structure, setup effort, and common real-world use cases. Recommendations are based on fit—not affiliate payouts. And if the best move is "don't buy anything yet," we'll say that too.
